Basic Character Overview: Glenn is a quiet, modest, and absolutely most proper gentleman! He's very chivalrous, and bound by duty. He would never act in a brash manner, and always treats everyone with respect, especially his elders or superiors. He is no genius, though he is intelligent, and quite modest. He'd do anything to help his friends, but will not step into the middle of an argument...such would not be his place.
RP-modified History: Glenn was the younger of two brothers, the older being the great Dario of the 4 Arcacia Dragoon Devas. The Dragoons being the military, and the Devas being a sort of very strong, very talented, high-ranking officials. Dario was their leader, and weilded a legendary sword named Einlanzer. During a quest for the evil sword Masamune, Dario became possessed, and Karsh kicked him off a cliff! ((from what I recall, I think this is right. Or was it Karsh was possessed and Dario tried to stop him? Either way Dario was proclaimed dead.)) Since Karsh was the only one present, he had claimed that Dario died in a tragic accident...it later turns out Dario was alive. Defeat him and upgrade your weapon to the best one in the game. :p
I think that at a very young age, Glenn knew he would never be able to rival his own brother in terms of ability and strength, yet this did
not daunt him. Flashbacks indicate Dario's early superiority, as well as various 'clues' you can find in the house he and Glenn grew up in. Even though he could never aspire to Deva status, Glenn was satisfied with his talents, which were not meager to say the least. He's an excellent fighter, and would do anything for the call of duty. In terms of originality, Glenn is really just another pretty sword-boy...and since this was Chrono Cross, you'll run into him but you have to decide not to help Kidd at the beginning of the game in
order to recruit him. It's pretty sweet that towards the end you can get his brother's sword, though. (I forget how, sorry!!!) It's kind
of symbolic of Glenn being able to finally step out of his brother's shadow, and almost pick up where Dario had left off.
After helping Serge re-align the dimensions properly, Glenn returned to his version of reality. Knowing he couldn't just up and quit on Lord Viper (leader of the Dragoons), he remained on semi-active duty. Things are pretty slow for a military when there's no wars to fight...and Glenn felt his abilities seemed to have hit a plateau, of sorts. He was finally able to be recognized as "Glenn", not just "Dario's kid brother", and feeling a little ambitious he decided he really wanted to make that Glenn into someone. Mind you, not to try and claim fame and glory for himself, but more to eke out who 'Glenn' really is. He'd lived all his life being in the background, but now that people were paying attention to him...he needed to get away, do some studying, some meditating...
It was only natural he'd seek out Karsh. The man had been Dario's best friend, and they'd all grown up together. He visited the smithy
but was surprised to find out Karsh had gone off to school on the moon. School on a far away place...? Seemed like a perfect opportunity. Most of the students won't have known his brother, and he can get acquainted with this whole "forge your own path" thing. The conditions seemed perfect. He applied for entrance as a college student.
